How James Patrick Photography and LUMEDIA Creative Delivered Full-Service Conference Media Production for Troon’s Fusion Forum in Tucson, Arizona
When organizations invest in a national conference, they deserve more than event documentation. They deserve a complete content strategy that extends the value of the event long after the final keynote concludes.
That was the objective behind our production partnership with Troon for the 2026 Fusion Forum in Tucson, Arizona.
As an Arizona-based production company specializing in conference video production, commercial photography, corporate event media, and brand storytelling, James Patrick Photography and LUMEDIA Creative were selected to provide comprehensive visual coverage for Troon’s annual gathering of food and beverage leaders, marketing professionals, sales executives, and company leadership.
Held June 1-3, 2026, the three-day conference brought together approximately 250 attendees for educational sessions, networking opportunities, breakout discussions, and leadership presentations.
This marked our second consecutive conference production for Troon, following their 2025 Leadership Summit, and builds upon a relationship spanning more than a decade producing commercial photography and video campaigns for the global golf and hospitality management company.
The Client Goal: Create a Lasting Content Library
Rather than simply recording presentations, Troon wanted to maximize the long-term value of the conference through strategic content creation.
The goal was to produce a comprehensive media library that could support:
- Future Fusion Forum promotions
- Internal communications
- Executive presentations
- Speaker archives
- Social media content
- Marketing campaigns
- Corporate storytelling initiatives
Every production decision was made with these long-term objectives in mind.
Arizona Conference Video Production with a Broadcast-Quality Workflow
Capturing a live conference requires careful planning and technical redundancy.
Presentations happen once, making reliable production workflows essential.
Our production team developed a multi-camera system capable of capturing every keynote and breakout session while simultaneously generating content for future promotional use.
The primary presentation camera was a Sony FX3 equipped with a telephoto lens, dedicated to capturing speakers with cinematic clarity.
A second Sony FX30 fitted with a wide-angle lens documented the full stage environment, audience engagement, and room atmosphere throughout every presentation.
Both cameras recorded in 4K resolution while feeding into an ATEM switcher that generated an additional 1080p backup recording.
To streamline post-production and improve content quality, our team integrated directly with the venue AV provider to receive:
- Clean presentation audio from the house sound system
- Program feeds synchronized with speaker slide decks
- Redundant recording workflows for maximum reliability
This production strategy ensures that speaker presentations are immediately usable for both internal and external distribution without requiring extensive post-production synchronization.
Capturing the Story Beyond the Stage
Great conference production isn’t limited to keynote presentations.
The real story exists between sessions, in networking conversations, hallway interactions, attendee engagement, and shared experiences.
Throughout Fusion Forum, our team documented:
- Networking receptions
- Attendee conversations
- Special events
- Educational breakout sessions
- Executive interactions
- Venue atmosphere
- Brand activations
- Candid moments throughout the conference
These cinematic B-roll assets provide Troon with flexible marketing content that can be repurposed for future conference promotions, recruitment campaigns, social media, and corporate communications.
Ambient audience sound was also captured separately using a shotgun microphone connected to a Zoom field recorder, allowing future highlight videos to incorporate authentic audience reactions and environmental audio.
Professional Headshots for Conference Attendees
In addition to video production, our team created an on-site professional headshot activation available to every conference attendee.
Corporate conferences increasingly seek ways to create additional attendee value, and professional portraits remain one of the most appreciated experiences organizers can offer.
Over 100 attendees participated in the activation, receiving updated professional headshots suitable for LinkedIn profiles, company websites, conference bios, speaking engagements, and media opportunities.
Following the event, our team managed the complete delivery process, providing personalized proof galleries and professionally edited final images directly to each participant.
The activation added another layer of engagement while delivering lasting value to attendees.
Delivering Comprehensive Conference Media Production
By the conclusion of the event, Troon received a complete archive of conference assets, including:
- Multiple 4K camera recordings
- ATEM backup recordings
- Direct audio captures
- Ambient audience recordings
- Extensive cinematic B-roll footage
- Speaker presentations
- Networking coverage
- Executive interactions
- Professional headshot galleries
In total, the production generated more than twenty hours of recorded footage across well over a dozen educational sessions while documenting every major component of the conference experience.

A lean, experienced production crew allowed for maximum flexibility while maintaining broadcast-quality standards throughout the event.

David Portillo served as Assistant Director of Photography and second camera operator, capturing complementary presentation and event coverage.
Rebecca Sasnett led the attendee headshot activation, photographing and delivering professional portraits to more than one hundred conference participants.
