Maybe because of the title. But if you listened, I&#8217;m sure you heard it was filled with a lot of satire.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The truth is, I love the magazine industry. It&#8217;s an industry that I&#8217;ve been a part of as long as I&#8217;ve been a photographer. My first job outside of newspapers was at a magazine. I launched not one, but two publications in the last year. I&#8217;ve been obsessed with working in the media, going on two decades now.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But in that time, I&#8217;ve watched publications cease operations, go out of business, stop production, and close.The magazine industry has been in peril for a long time. They were brutalized by the recession in 2008. The recession in 2020 didn&#8217;t help.
