For about 20 years I stayed on one side of the camera; photographing more than 600 magazine covers for my clients.

Between my work as a photographer and as a journalist, I’ve contributed to thousands upon thousands of publications in hopes and efforts to provide immense value to the media outlet and their readers.

Yet very seldom am I the focus.

That changed drastically as I am now appearing on the cover, my first ever cover appearance as the subject, of the Oct 2022 issue of FLG Magazine.

This photo session actually took place in Barcelona just a few months before the world shut down.

Flash forward to see the imagery, and me as the subject, in print truthfully feels surreal – something I’ve witnessed my clients experience a thousand times over and now I am feeling myself.

My sincerest and most immense gratitude goes out to my amazing clientele over the past two decades who are, in large part, responsible for the career I’ve been able to create.

And my gratitude goes out to my friends at PLPG for supporting my work and choosing to showcase me on the other side of the camera!

P.S. No, it’s not April 1st so this is not a joke at all.
P.P.S. I was naturally wearing one of my trademark FITposium t-shirt, jeans and my branded maroon kicks when I received notice of this cover where I’m wearing my finest in a fashion magazine (that irony is not lost on me at all!)
P.P.P.S. A massive credit has to go to my wife Kelly who produced the entire shoot from pulling the wardrobe to hiring the photographer in Spain.
P.P.P.P.S. I did forget what I looked like without a beard. And back when I was able to sleep before having a child.
