Last week, I was working with one of my coaching clients. We were prepping her for a photoshoot, so I had her reach out to a handful of photographers for quotes and estimates. As we started to review all the ones we got back, she had a lot of questions. It made me realize that so many of you have to work with photographers a lot and they (myself included) can make things a lot more complicated than they need to be.
So in this episode, I want to talk about photo-speak and all the things that us photographers do that can be a little confusing, daunting, and frustrating for you as the client.
“Talk to your photographer and get these details figured out before your photoshoot.”
IN THIS EPISODE
- Getting a return on your investment when you invest in photography.
- Why it’s important to make sure you voice the purpose and vision of the shoot.
- What to do when the pictures don’t reflect what you wanted.
- How to style yourself for your photoshoot.
- Determine what you get for what you’re investing.
- How to figure out what all the fees on an estimate mean.
- Asking the right questions.
- Making sure you discuss usage with your photographer.
- A realistic expectation of when you can receive your photos returned.
- The impotence of talking to your photographer with all your questions before you sign anything or make any payments.
